I wasn't getting any notification alerts so I thought I was going through a quiet period but it turns out SEVERAL of you were interacting with posts in the cover of night smiley with small open mouth with an index finger pointing upwards next to it, indicating quietness

if it happens to you, you can fix that by turning the notif count setting off and back on again btw
