isn't it weird that we have many (viable) terminal emulators on linux? we have 3 fancy gpu accelerated terminals, each desktop environment has their own, there's like a billion lightweight options, and there's even an electron one. all of them serve the exact same purpose, with relatively minor differences. all of them feels the same to use. all of them are viable.
meanwhile on Mac, you either use the default built-in terminal or iterm2. or one of the 3 fancy gpu acclerated terminals if you're feeling fancy. on Windows? there's not much reason to use anything other than Windows Terminal.
idk, it feels like duplicate effort to me. can't we just decide on the best terminal and only focus development on one? dude just pick the perfect, most customizable, easiest to use, sanest-default, fastest, gpu accele-
