i never understood Minecraft update discourse. i mean, we're getting a major update every year, a new snapshot every week, on two different versions, on every platform ever.
the comparisn with mods is weird. from my experience with mods, most content are just added in without any gameplay considerations. i like to customize my game with mods but i don't want them in the base game.
i don't understand the whole "they earn so much money" thing either. people never apply that line of thinking to any other game ever. the Stardew Valley community will (rightfully) shit on you if you said "ConcernedApe should have hired more developers for the mobile/console ports since he earns so much money every year".
