I've only read a couple chunks of the terribly-named Finding My Place, but this has got to be one of the better fantasy romance male leads so far, particularly in terms of doling out pithy and surprisingly metal one liners
BTW, the premise here is after he gives her the advice in the previous cap, she takes it to heart and subsequently murders her brother rather than let him marry her off to a violent and famously wife-murdering emperor (the ML's dad). When the ML visits later after attempting to kill the emperor in an attempted coup to form a democratic government and going into hiding, he applauds her for killing her brother...and tells off the dead brother's wife to her face, lol? Which is what this cap is from.
(I don't know if the overall politics are good; it seems to be of the camp that regards capitalism and democracy as fundamentally interlocked, which is painfully common in these works with fantasy settings.)
