please watch Ayaka. I promise it's not worth it. I promise you'll come out thinking it's mid. because it's mid.

you'll start seeing art differently. you'll see the passion the artists put into their art in any medium, and you'll think of Ayaka, trying to remember any semblance of artistic vision. you'll think, thank god this isn't like Ayaka.

it takes a true mid anime to appreciate 6/10 anime.

One of the cool things about getting older and experiencing more stuff is realizing so many 'internet opinions' are just wrong.

There are so, so many games/movies/etc that I think kick ass but I thought for years were bad because a man on YouTube said so or I read it on forums.

Having your own opinion rules. There's literally nothing else like it.

i just finished the latest mha episode. and omg the anime adaptation really sucks. there are so many major moments that i look forward to, and then i get there without realizing, and it ends without me realizing. the execution is so flat that i thought i was watching filler.

to the anime's credit, Studio Bones seem to actually care about their staff. anime credits are always super concerning, but mha is one of those rare ones whose credits looks normal.

but either way, just read the manga. the plot has major problems, but the execution and the art is just top tier.

i'm ashamed that i don't remember his name. cause i always thought of him as the "pink hair soft (fem)boy".

i never understood bl - the only other Hiroko Utsumi show i watched is banana fish, but i was there more for the action. But i think i can kinda understand bl fans now.

obligatory warning: it's more yaoi bait than actual yaoi. the show hasn't ended, but i highly doubt any actual bl will come out of this.
