howdy! i noticed a big black box labelled "YAMAHA" in the background of your update video. is it a keyboard or something?
that is a yamaha PSS-570. i used to collect synthesizers but since i could never learn to play worth a shit i got rid of most of them. the couple i kept were the PSR-36 and PSS-570, because they are the coolest, weirdest, least appreciated keyboards in history
they hail from the era of the yamaha DX7 and use the same kind of FM synthesis, but, instead of tweaking endless mystery settings, you just have

a set of sliders that gang together predetermined "knobs" in the synthesis engine and vary them between a set of predetermined, reasonable values

a library of presets that all sound pretty good

the ability to permute the presets with the sliders.
the number of unique sounds you can produce on one of these in the space of five minutes with no prior experience is absolutely mind boggling and every one sounds amazing, especially since it has built in speakers. the PSR-36 is a fullsize; the 570 is small; and i think they made one that's super tiny that I owned once but lost. all of them are wonderful. if you see one you are required by law to buy it and make sure it never gets thrown away.
