I'm torn on that new Zelda. The new mechanic looks cool and all but it's kind of weird that it's introduced like "oh don't worry, we won't have Zelda fighting with a sword or anything crazy like that"

Yeaaaaaah. Then again, the copying wand is a way more robust mechanic than has ever been introduced in a top-down Zelda before.
big brain theory: they don't show a sword because Zelda hasn't found one to copy yet
Who needs a legendary sword when you can raise legions of the dead to fight for you
Yeah, it's a particular flavor of sexism (her hands are too soft and delicate for weapons) that doesn't sit right with me.
It's so weird! Like the mechanic is so cool and interesting, but why frame it like that!
