NORAD and google aren't actually that far off from each other, with santa flying near são paulo as of me writing this. but FR24 thinks santa is flying over florida.

what gives? certainly NORAD of all people could decide where santa is and keep kids from asking their parents why the seven different data sources tracking santa diverge.

OR: perhaps it's to keep parents on their toes. extra points for coming up with an explanation of quantum mechanics off the top of their head tipsy on eggnog

anyway. as everyone knows, santa knows where he is because he knows where he isn't

FR24 did a lot of cute things here but 727 knots at FL380 is unhinged. there's no way you can maintain appropriate aircraft separation with this guy in the skies

it's clearly because he has to bend the laws of physics a little and the different approaches for measuring his position produce different results, not unlike the different ways of modeling weather forecasts

I believe google uses NORAD's tracking data? presumably FR24 is obtaining santa's position independently using ADS-B, and the US Government is trying to cover it up for national security reasons

[taps clipboard menacingly] a single steady red bulb at the front of the aircraft isn't gonna work. see if you can get rudolph to strobe and install some navigation lights on the reindeers a couple rows back

the manufacture data on his sleigh being december 270 AD means that st. nicholas was already doing the whole presents thing within seven months of being born, which, honestly, can't knock the hustle
