then you open that bad boy up and see this nightmare of full blast somethin'-255-somethin' eyeball punchers:

i'm saying, my hat is off to anyone who's ever made something look nice with this palette. and people certainly have!
If you're interested in some seldom-used EGA capabilities, the card could actually draw a 16-color palette chosen from these 64 available colors!!1
The palette we typically call the EGA palette was the 16 RGBI colors that the CGA could also render, the main difference being that CGA could only display 4 colors at once and EGA could display all 16 at once.
