absolutely fucking insane. game 1 and 2 scuffed due to server lag and then in game 3.....

someone hacked the PC of a player on the team that's #1 in the region (and is already guaranteed going to the next LAN event). one of the most insane clips i've seen in a long time. he's playing the game and then the hackers type stuff in his in game chat and give him wallhacks.

pov of the hacked player:

said hacked player is done for the day and his team is continuing with a substitute.

this tweet is from another team's coach that i think underscores how different it would look without the in game text chat/twitch chat stuff from the hackers:

also the team i like is having a really bad day so far and i'm about to stress eat a million thin mints about it! thanks for asking

edit a few minutes later: aaaaaaaaaaaand they just cancelled finals for the day. games postponed etc etc etc. currently unclear whether they’ll start over or resume from game 3 scores or what

update even later: clip of hal getting hacked. it's more subtle with him. he just suddenly had aimbot. but because he's hal he keeps playing and decides to try not shooting his gun? but then shoots his gun some more. even more insane than the gen clip in a way

in reply to @sparkletone's post:

Personally I think if a battle is occurring and capricious gods decide to descend and grant magic powers to some of the combatants, they should just let it play out and then speak of the day in legend and song for all time to come

you’re right tbh

though kidding aside i bet algs were gonna let it ride if it was just the one dude even after some clips showing they’d clearly turned on aimbot for him and only later announced themselves and gave him walls

yeah. RCE in either the game or it could be in easy anticheat. either way quite scary! i wasn’t gonna play more destiny 2 this weekend and play apex instead…. but d2 is battleeye and apex don’t feel safe to boot rn
