pirating this guy's post off reddit because he posted "hey i dug up some old footage from my canon XH-A1 we shot back in 2008, this is surprisingly still usable and better than some of the cameras we use now" and i'm just like buddy if you're using cameras with this much CA, like, "you can see it on a standard def TV"-grade CA, may i recommend: iphone

i absolutely abhor shooting video on anything that isn't a real video camera but if you can't get something with a lens that works at least as well as a consumer camcorder from 2010 then you're in dire straits
(realistically the power hyperzoom completely justifies it but you can still get something better for like $200)
i have been filming stuff on a canon ixus 285hs and i think its pretty cromulent
it does up to 5x on the latest ones, its not sony superzoom but still pretty neat
