i've been watching the fansub release of madoka (it's still good who knew) from way back in the day with freya so we can experience the true authentic hell 2011. the short clips of the broadcast ad breaks like morning rescue that are included are honestly pretty great. maybe i'm outing myself as being an enormous loser here but i wish there were still some release groups that did this for anime, it feels like it gives it a little cushion of context, for whatever reason. for sure this is helped by all of the ads being for stuff i absolutely cannot just go out and buy lol
