I keep thinking about my particular corner of furry and how many people in it were just floating around the same communities around the same times. This is now one of them, I have a few folks in my orbit that I know only from Cohost. I can draw lines from one person to a second and then to a third all through the same polycule, because all of those people were adjacent to or part of communities I've been a part of. I have a friend who lives nearby and we hang out IRL and she actively watched my let's plays when they were happening. There's someone I knew from VG Cats in one, if not more, of the goon discords I'm a part of. There's a furry I'm friends with who watched my lets plays but I could recognize his fursona years before that. The number of people I was posting alongside on SA in the early 2010's that came out as Transgender Furries later is a number that is so high I had a period where I had the thought as a joke and then it kept happening so many times that I gave up on keeping count. We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death. But we're in here together and I'm glad for it.
