i'm thinking about how i posted a one sentence generic review of portal stories: mel that wasn't constructive at all, 5 years after the game came out, and for some reason people felt it was worthy of 13 steam awards and for it to be the 2nd most helpful review of all time for the game
the most helpful review has 527(!) upvotes and says "This is probably the closest to Portal 3 we'll ever get." are steam users just suckers for unoriginality?
also portal stories mel is a really good mod and it's free if you own portal 2 so check it out
gamers just really love jokes about how valve can't count to 3 because they're like "haha yes as a gamer i get the joke and recognize this reference and that makes me feel good" i guess
I like to imagine Half Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3, Team Fortress 3, Dota 3, and Portal 3 are all complete and ready to ship and Gabe simply will not allow it, and one day he'll retire and the floodgates will open.
