this afternoon i decided MPC-HC a program that hasn't had an update in half-a-decade is maybe a little too long in the tooth and configured MPV, a media player for idiots like me who like to fuck with config files for hours.
WHY would you put a menu item for "Delete file and play next queued video" holy shit
Thankfully its all fucking lua scripts so I can just remove it and move Screenshot to the top level menu.
no fucking around with streamlink or youtube-dl, it Just Works?

In case anyone is wondering, yeah I still use mpv and yeah I have a custom built windows cmd script because one feature mpv lacks (and a big one in my imo) is the ability to queue stuff easily without using the command line.
My script stopped working but it turns out it was because i hadn't updated youtube-dl, because youtube introduced a breaking change and there was an update to fix it. Also mpv uses the youtube-dl on your system, assuming it's in your path environment variable!
