The Bonkers Line™ is the theoretical line at which you can still be a cop but be exempt from ACAB. By being a cop, Bonkers causes more pain and suffering to other cops constantly than to ordinary citizens. This, therefore, brings Bonkers all the way up to "Well Its Probably OK but Watch Your Fucking STEP Bonkers" and is often used as the midpoint between ACAB and Its OK Though.

My wife, bless her heart. She gets so wrapped up in how I'm gettin' on at the office.

"How's your partner, how's the chief?" She asks me all these questions about it. I love her though, I really do. I tell her how they're doin' of course because I am askin' 'em after all. I ask a lotta questions. Me and my wife, we're alike like that. Probably part of why the marriage works so good, y'know?

Anyways, I can't tell her everything though. I don't tell her about when the guys are gettin' in trouble. I don't tell her nothin' about the cases, she don't need the stress, but still all the same I do gotta' think about it cuz she does ask, and I gotta' have somethin' for her.

Makes some of the fellas on the force nervous though. Like I'm watchin' 'em. Seein' if they're up to somethin'. Which, of course not, but I can't help but think about the ones that get too nervous about it. Like, why's they gotta' be so distressed that a coworker's checkin' in and makin' sure that they're happy where we work? It's a little validatin', ain't it? Havin' little talks like these with the folks that surround ya? About the life we're livin'?

Anyways, my wife knows I was comin' to check on ya so what can I tell her later for you?
