hey, wow, if you have any love for classic OoT you should go give the Indigo demo a shot

I found out about it watching a stream VoD and within 5 minutes of it starting I was like "this looks like something special. I need to actually play this for myself" and I was 100% right. I was glued to it for six hours straight, just smiling from ear to ear around every corner. insane creativity, so many custom assets and enemies and items. I can't believe the state of complexity that OoT modding has already reached

I want to and it would be cool if anyone could explain how in a manner that is not "draw the rest of the owl"

1: download a 1.0 release version of the original US OoT ROM from here, make sure the version dropdown box is set to 1.0 before clicking download https://vimm.net/vault/2637

2: download the .bps patch file for Indigo from the bottom of the most recent demo release here https://github.com/krm01/oot-indigo-mod/releases/tag/v0.3.15

3: use the web patcher by putting your plain 1.0 ROM into the first field, and pointing the second field to your Indigo patch file https://www.hack64.net/tools/patcher.php

4: load the new ROM you saved into the emulator/N64 flashcart of your choice!
