My middle school science teacher went to the rainforest at some point.
He showed us a slideshow of all the stuff he saw there. As an 11 year old I very naively assumed "ah yes EVERY middle school must have a really eccentric guy who went to the rainforest as the science teacher" and only just now remembering it do i realize that's an insane thought to have.
