oh how i wish i could daily drive linux on this desktop.
oh how i wish my capture card and most steam games worked flawlessly, but the reality is there's no drivers that exist for the avermedia livegamer hd 2 on linux and also most games, even ones with pretty good ratings on protondb, are kind of a crapshoot depending on what hardware combo you got. and even the ones that work usually have graphical glitches and stuff. the fact that so many things work on the steam deck is i think a function of valve being the ones that develop proton so as a result they have total control over the hardware and can have a narrower test bed to focus on.
