I've seen the original Brave Little Toaster, and I knew about the sequel where they go to Mars, but I am only just now learning there was another one between those two featuring Aretha Franklin as some kind of computer-taur with disc drive tits who sings a song about the internet.
...is one of the most sensationalist Red Scare films I've ever seen. I livetweeted it several years ago. Some highlights:
-- There's a musical number with the lyrics: "Power is a weak person's crutch"; "If they hated us why would they employ us?"
-- The evil commie appliances (led by an Evil Commie Fridge) are in cahoots with the smarty-pants elites to try and trick the working class out of their "natural place"
-- The Good Capitalist Toaster is voted Supreme Commander on a platform of "It's nice to be nice [to your masters]& being nice is what's right"
--the Evil Commie Leader was converted to Good by "the simple touch of [his Master's] hand". The ex-commie appliances want to "make sure they're in working order" for their "new masters".
It's worse than that, of course. The old thread is HERE.
