i think i should probably start thinking about the Media Server Rebuild.
i assume most of my configuration shit will be easy enough to move over for the various things i have (nginx, apache, kodi, plex, whatever the hell else this thing is doing) but the real goal is 1. upgrade linux mint to a version that is current and 2. build a RAID array with redundancy? i think thats raid 5? i have never in my life configured a RAID array. i know enough search terms to be dangerous. ZFS and TrueNAS. but i don't know if there is any downside, or conversely if its even possible, to just build a RAID 5 config with the linux command line and fstab, and if i do will it just rebuild the missing parity data if i slot in a replacement drive? i have no idea! and it doesn't matter until I can buy a ton of spinning rust and also all the parts a computer needs, except the case i already bought a case a while ago
