Having a mouse right up next to the edge of the desk is murder on my wrist. I now use the mouse way further back on my desk, about half of my forearm now rests on the deskpad I have. the ergonomic vertical mouse is great for this, too, because if I were to try and do this with a standard mouse, I think this would just move the joint strain from my wrist to my elbow. using a standard mouse feels weird now.
Same with my keyboard, having it further back & a longer runway for my forearms to land on as opposed to having my arms spread out with my wrists twisted is way better.
The compression brace is good for relieving some of the carpal tunnel pain, i've even gotten used to sleeping with it on, but the stabilization brace with the metal strips in it has really forced me to reckon with the ways i bend my wrist on a daily basis.
still working on being better about my knees. I tend to sit weird in a way that applies pressure on my knees at weird angles. i've been aware of this for months & been trying to get better about it but it's just a habit when I sit down, I correct it as soon as I notice it. I do the same thing while I drive - I often go "oh right my left leg should probably just be against the footrest they built into my fucking car for that instead of jammed up against the seat.
