Ages ago I bought a 4x5 camera that was relatively cheap, but also way to cumbersome to take anywhere. I did manage to get everything working and took maybe 15 photos before never using it again.

Last year I heard about the Intrepid Camera Company. They make new 4x5 (and bigger) cameras. I still had all the other bits to make it work, like a lens, film and film holders, and a way to develop the film. The only thing missing was a camera body that I liked. This week I finally bit the bullet and ordered one.

Today it arrived. It's a nice combination of metal, FR4 pcbs and 3d printed parts. Even though it looks like an old camera, it is constructed in a thoroughly modern way. And it rivals smaller cameras in how much it weighs. I can just plonk it on my tripod, which struggled with the other 4x5 camera.

I took 2 shots already. I fucked up development a bit, but learned enough to be better prepared this weekend.
