A couple of Dell servers got donated to the hackerspace. As normal these came without disks or brackets. With the magic of 3d printers this does not have to be a problem.

First I grabbed a design from the internet. This was made to exactly replicate the original, including way too thin walls and loads of overhangs. Trying to get the support material out of the print was a failure.

So I sighed, and designed my 3rd 3d printed disk bracket design (the others were for Sun and IBM servers). I printed one to test and it fits. Now I have to print a couple more. In bright pink, because nobody else in the hacker space is going to print in that color.
