So I decided to take a break from Zeta (which functionally I had been anyway) and now I'm checking out Turn A Gundam!

It feels really refreshing coming from Zeta. I know a little bit about the concept of the show and it's been toward the top of my list of Gundam shows I've wanted to check out. It sounds really compelling!

The first episode was a good start! It's a great looking show, I love some pastoral and early industrial fantasy mixed in with my robot shows (Escaflowne 🩷) and so far the characters are pretty endearing! I'm definitely looking forward to digging into it more!

Nice! From the outset I could easily see this one being toward the top of a lot of lists. This one is directed by Tomino as well so I’m sure his writing quirks will be present here too but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

turn a is definitely in my top 2 personal gundam shows. it does so much legwork to show all the mundane applications the giant death machines can have, and i am a sucker for how the events and the technology of the distant past get filtered and reframed and distorted through the lens of myth and legend across the local cultures

After War Gundam X! it's much more of a personal taste but its earnest hopeful outlook and slight saturday-morning-cartoon adventure-of-the-week vibes strikes the right chords with me such that i love it dearly. i wonder if it says something about me that both my favorite Gundam serieses are the "what if we put mobile suits in the post apocalypse" ones

Hell yeah! I love earnest optimism, I mean it’s a big part of what I like about Unicorn, and post apocalyptic settings are almost always pretty interesting! I’ll add it to the list!
