The new Polaroid I-2 looks really impressive and I like the general look of it as well! Manual focus controls are great and it's nice to see a Polaroid camera with a decent lens attached.
As someone whose primary hobby and mode of artistic expression comes from 35mm film I could be tempted by this if the film itself were better.
Unfortunately the latitude of Polaroid film remains as non existent as ever and getting a good enough shot is an extremely finicky and unpredictable process. From what I saw in the video this doesn't seem to have any higher of a hit rate than the older than me Sun 660 that I have for the occasional shot I'll take at a party whenever I have a pack of Polaroid film lying around.
Instant film remains fun, and I'll still buy a pack of Polaroid film from time to time often driven by that one perfect shot out of a few dozen I manage to capture, but spending north of $500 on a camera to shoot it with seems absurd.
