i have both made and released a ton of music this last year - here's a little catalog of it with descriptions and artwork for you to peruse : )
π±π§β‘ Elemental Harmony - a cute, melodic, lightly glitchy chiptune EP for the NES, SNES and Gameboy! it's a brisk 12 minutes of 8 li'l songs, intended to convey the whimsy of various spirits living in peaceful coexistence with other life. it's short, but a lot of loving detail was put into each of these tunes! also, @piano makes an appearance!
π§ you can buy/listen on the iiiypad records Bandcamp, listen on SoundCloud, or it is also available pay-what-you-want on my own Bandcamp. artwork by sparklecats2009!

ππͺοΈπ Elemental Chaos - an ambient glitch EP made by fiercely chopping up recordings from my ROLI Lumi keyboard and the piano. thematically, this is intended to be diametrically opposed to Elemental Harmony - an album focused on the raw, divine power of the elements in their wrath; or more concretely, an album about climate change, about the hubris of humankind believing it can defeat or overcome the forces of nature, about what happens if harmony is callously broken. personally speaking, these are some of my favorite songs i've ever written, and i adore writing in this style. one day i hope to do a physical vinyl release containing both of these EPs.
π§ as with Elemental Harmony, you can buy or listen on the iiiypad records Bandcamp, listen on SoundCloud, or it is also available pay-what-you-want on my own Bandcamp. artwork by loni!

ππ§‘π The Orange Omnibus - a compilation album of the coolest songs i wrote in 2021 (i.e. my favorites) for various events around the world wide web. a stylistic grab bag, but a great place to check out the kinds of things i like doing, and what i'm particularly proud of. i intend to do one of these compilations every year - 2020's was named The Strawberry Collection - and there will be a new one for this year in early 2023, so keep your eyes peeled!
π§ this one is free rather than pay-what-you-want due to the presence of several covers on the album. you can download/listen on my Bandcamp or listen on SoundCloud. artwork by sparklecats2009!

π₯π¦π¨π© Super Islands - a microtonal SNES EP focused on using samples that weren't originally found on the SNES. sources include Golden Sun, the GBA/DS Pokemon games, MSGS MIDI, and clips of my own music! all but the last track were recorded on actual SNES hardware, too. the first three tracks are in various flavors of just intonation, and the last track is a 21edo handling of samples that were written in regular 12edo.
π§ for now, this is an unofficial EP that hasn't been released on Bandcamp - i'd like to commission unique artwork for it first, rather than using the BotB artwork (these were all submitted to a compo on Battle of the Bits). you can listen to it on SoundCloud! the current artwork is by hqaoqu.

π¦ βοΈπ¦ Mitosis - a glitchy FM synthesis EP containing music for the PC-9801's soundchip (the YM2608). this was my first foray into FM and i could not be happier with it! i had a ton of fun learning to use BambooTracker, and i was able to do a lot of cool stuff with its one sample channel (as with Elemental Chaos i used some recordings from the ROLI Lumi keyboard). stylistically inspired by so-called IDM and oldschool tracker modules. the last track is a cover of a song i really love, "Tokyo Lullaby" by Nozomi Nobody.
π§ this is also an unofficial EP for now; i will either commission artwork for it or they will be absorbed into a larger release eventually (edit: well probably both of those things actually). we'll see! for now you can listen to it on SoundCloud! the current artwork is a photo taken by my friend Janelle in Tokyo.

ποΈπ π ππ Advent Calendar 2022 - each of these little tunes (mostly of the chiptune variety) was made within the span of one day each in December 2022 for an event on Battle of the Bits! there was a different prompt and a different format each day (such as what software to use, what soundchip to write for, etc). obviously with this restriction the songs are a little shorter and less polished but i'm still very proud of my work on this! i did this last year, too!
π§ Advent Calendar 2022 is both available on Bandcamp pay-what-you-want and on SoundCloud to listen to and playlist at your leisure.

if you're crazy and thorough and possibly bored out of your mind, you can also comb through these three playlists of music i wrote for the major seasonal competitions on Battle of the Bits this year:
my favorites from among these piles of music will get included in my "2022 compilation album" in February 2023, too, along with several other things i wrote this year that are separate from my Album Releases. :D

i hope you enjoy listening through some of this music and reading about it! have a nice day!
