The Harpy of the West

(drawings, plants, books, movies, and way too many hobbies. if i can make it by hand i probably will. banjo amateur. professional field botanist. will categorize your soil horizons for food.)

the garden is popping off! these radishes (the long French kind) will be ready probably next week while i'm gone. i planted another batch of them to keep the party going. two kinds of snap peas, bush in the front and vining in the back. a few rows of bok choi and spinach and mizuna that i'm begging not to bolt when it inevitably gets scorchingly hot at the end of may. and of course, garlic.

i'm extra grateful this year that my green and red shiso have reseeded themselves. for now the row covers stay ON until the plants are large enough not to be a temptation to the squirrels, my eternal tormentors in the simulation.
