so tired of knitting these frogs i can't believe i volunteer myself for this! this is the last one! nobody else gets a fucking frog!

(drawings, plants, books, movies, and way too many hobbies. if i can make it by hand i probably will. banjo amateur. professional field botanist. will categorize your soil horizons for food.)

isn't it a good color? i made them with random scraps and leftover yarn and this one came out best
this is such a mood lol. I have knit two, and I kiiiind of want to do a third... but also, there's something about this particular toy pattern that's just a little insufferable?
lol thank you i feel vindicated! this last one i put pipe cleaners in the limbs and i think that's what did me in for good.
wires, my beloathed. Did you knit them in or insert them after? I can never decide which is worse 😂
I also never know what do do with the ends of the wire; they're just pokey!
the poseability is nice tho so I end up doing it usually 😬
i knit the i-cord around them, and i think the fuzzyness of the pipecleaners helps hold them in place and keeps the ends from feeling pokey? however they are not as nice and bendy as i hoped they would be. i know the pattern designer prefers wire twist-ties for this but i never have them in the house.
ooh, interesting! I used pipecleaners in Hansi Singh's octopus and they eventually worked out of the tips of the tentacles. I feel like they have a little less holding power than the plain steel wire I often use (I thiink it's 18 gauge? 20?), but I do like how they act like stuffing a bit.
Aye, but it's beautiful. You ushered something sublime into the world. You were midwife to wonder.
it is a charming little beast isn't it. that's how they get you.
