I don’t know what my damage is but I didn’t find Nora the Ninth especially great?
It’s an okay book. It just. It has the same problem as Harrow the Ninth. The one where…
Oh, bother! Spoilers for Harrow the Ninth and Nona the Ninth!
… the back third of the book is at the same time kind of high on its own mythology and expecting all the pop culture references to land to keep up the rhythm, and since I grew up in a cultural context that wasn’t American, wasn’t queer and wasn’t this kind of Online, these I kept missing over and over to the point it’s actively causing me RSD flareups to think about it.
Loved Nona but never got Nona, sorry.
