given how my undergrad finals went, I'm pretty sure to this day that 'context-oriented'/'context-aware' research was at some point mostly a way to nab that sweet EU grant money for theoretical CS

Given the notorious amount of implementation-defined and undefined behavior in C, I’d argue that it’s already pretty subjective :P
