it's out! https://zine.kawaiiuguu.moe/issue8.html

back catalogue available at https://zine.kawaiiuguu.moe/

I've tried to be a bit more ambitious with the presentation of this one, making it less "here's a list of buttons to click". I was hoping this would slow down the speed I make it at AND YET here we are. I felt compelled to finish it up tonight and I am now realising it's past midnight so technically I'm releasing this on the 17th (I have updated the index page accordingly). This is the largest issue yet, with the HTML file being a whole 959KB.

Please let me know what you think, both of the content and the format. I will have to figure out what to do next, haha!

Zine time! 🎉 The point and click format is great and your art suits it so well. It really made the whole zine feel bigger when there's multiple rooms to explore? Especially with the unlabeled extra things to find. It looks like it was a lot of work this time!

Thank you for writing the section about the Garages. They've had a big impact on me as well, and it sometimes feels hard to explain that yes the band from the funny sports simulator is actually truly my favorite, and they are that good. I like how you explained it, because I feel the same way.

Great song recommendations too -- it's so hard to narrow it down with that many albums. pathetic/spineless has a special place in my heart forever, and I'm still so happy that we got live versions of to the one percent and firewalker with me during desert bus.

yay, fellow garages fan!!! Honestly I feel like the latest Desert Bus set was just entirely extremely good, with "to the one percent" being a personal favourite of mine, the extreme fan-favourite nature of "firewalker with me" and the incredible sapphic energy of "vanessa tables" and the two Coyote Wall songs really hit great for me too!

honestly they're SUCH a good band!

thank you for reading the zine! Is it OK if I use some of your comment in a letters page if/when I do a future one?

(also hey I have seen you often like my post but IDK if we have ever properly talked so feel free to say hi on discord or some such)
