@ahmwma asked:

Are there any anime from the 90's that you particularly enjoy?

Yeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss!
Gonna only briefly mention Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop because too obvious, lol. But I will definitely mention Revolutionary Girl Utena because why would I not love a show about being rescued from the patriarchy by a cool nonbinary person

I've been slowly watching Fushigi Yugi with a friend, I don't know if I'd say it's good but it's a fun enough time haha.

Original Ghost in the Shell movie owns! Thinking of Mamoru Oshii, I think some bits of Patlabor also fall into the 90s? They own too!

The Giant Robo OVA is great too.

There's a bunch I need to get to at some point. I have had Slayers on DVD for ages but not properly watched it. I also want to pick up the recent blurays of Irresponsible Captain Tylor and try to tackle that properly.

I'm sure there's something obvious I'm neglecting to mention, haha!

Heh heh heh :eggbug-devious: So good.

I'm rewatching Utena with friends lately (friends have never seen it), and I was weirdly into Slayers for a while when I was younger. I haven't tried to revisit it yet.... Not sure how it holds up. In my memory it's lots of zany fantasy adventures and then a big epic thing at the end of every season. Very iconic theme songs!

I also watched Fushigi Yuugi because a friend was interested. I've forgotten everything but the opening theme tbh. But that's how it is sometimes.

When the live action remake came out, a cool local theater showed the original Ghost in the Shell. I took my wife, telling here “this is a very weird movie, but I think you’ll understand me a bit better after watching it.”
