ever wonder why how at some point in the 90s people decided that the verb for using a web browser was "surfing"? it was the 90s after all, and extreme sports were considered cool as well as the internet being cool, in that 90s way.
but let's consider some alternatives.
rollerblading the web? skateboarding the web? bmxing the web?

I'm sure I've heard "diving" used in some piece of cyberpunk fiction, I forget what though, possibly ghost in the shell? Mind is failing me currently!
