so back in the days of VHS tape (the days when I was a mere child) like when I was watching a movie on tape my habit was to play the tape right from the start and not fastforward through any of the initial black screen or warnings or trailers or anything, and let it play all the way through to the very end, like after the credits there'd be some more black screen and then the picture would break up as the tape literally ran out, but I'd keep it playing and watch it until the VCR actually stopped.
why did I do this? idk, felt right.
