The Dec(k)-month jam will be ending in a little over a day. If you're still on the fence about making something, remember that no submission is too small, and please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

As the year draws to a close, so too does the Dec(k)-Month jam, and I'm thrilled to report that we've had a bumper crop of creative, whimsical, and beautiful multimedia experiences. I hope everyone had fun!

Please peruse the submissions and leave some nice comments or constructive feedback. A few thoughtful words can go a long way toward rewarding the people who poured their hearts into their creations! Don't forget to rate submissions, too- this can help improve visibility for projects on Itch.io and help others find them.

My current plan is to hold the next Decker jam in July, as a sequel to Decker Fantasy Camp 2023. If you have any thoughts on how I could improve future jams, feel free to reach out! Did you encounter any problems while working with Decker? I'd love to know how the tools and resources can be made better!

This is a tiny thing but the rotor contraption doesn't seem to be working (on 1.37)? No image appears. 🤔

I checked my older decks with (previously working) rotor shenanigans, and also did a fresh copy-paste from the contraption bazaar with no luck.

I'm unable to reproduce the problem you're describing in web-decker or native-decker, but I have a theory.

Simply deleting the instances of a contraption from a deck will not delete the prototype, and if you paste a contraption into a deck for which a matching prototype already exists the old definition will be kept intact. To truly get rid of a prototype, you must remove it via File -> Resources; this will also destroy any instances of the contraption(!)

In Decker 1.32 I made some revisions to Lil which (unfortunately) required small changes to several of the contraptions in the Bazaar. The release notes describe how you can use a text editor to repair an existing deck which used those contraptions with a little bit of find-and-replace.

Does that work for you?

Ohhhh, Yep, I missed that about 1.32 ...

Halfway through reading I realized I did copy over a bunch of resources from an old deck into my jam project, including (probably) a pre-1.32 rotor module. Everything is fixed now. 🫣

Thank you and happy new year!
