Tenchi Muyo was essentially the flagship anime released by the Pioneer Laserdisc Company (which was owned by the electronics company and has since been sold several times and is now NBCUniversal Japan or some such)
So the second series of the OVA had this as a theme song. This HAD to have been a deliberate branding exercise, right?
