I was SO TEMPTED by the big collector's edition but I couldn't afford it so I had to settle for the medium sized one. So far yes the picture quality IS extremely good!
I have this set too but it brings me physical pain every time I don't hear Fly Me To The Moon at the end of each episode haha

Oh, which set? Haha, I have the first volume of the original Perfect collection (the red and black boxes). Was extremely lucky to find it ages ago and introduced me to the series at a young age. Even after these blu-rays made the cost of the old DVDs drop significantly I've never been able to justify getting them haha
Australian release of the Platinum Edition singles (in the box that came with volume 1), so they've got all the booklets which is pretty great. Arguably not exactly the best viewing experience on modern TVs due to the frame blending from PAL conversion though, haha
