Yeah I fucking agree, like as small as cohost is it's already gained an insufferable and pretentious userbase, but I guess that's just what you'll get from sites that market themselves as "Way better than blank shitty social media that used to be popular" X333333
Obviously it'd be better to have an official solution (and if people would stop being jerks whenever someone asks for it as a feature), but in the meantime: if you're on a desktop browser, @blep has a userscript for viewing notifications in a popover that has this as an unadvertised feature!
