i've mentioned before that I Really started drawing in order to make Scornhorn. I was like... 25ish I think? When I first committed to it as a project and studying art. That means. The oldest versions of Scornhorn. Look. Very. Different. Almost comically, I remade all of the art assets on a yearly basis and would be like :this is it. I don't think I'll get any better than this." I have rarely, basically never gone back to look at how far I've come on this project.

I decided to look now. The sheer terror I feel right now having shown this to all of my friends, with great pride and excitement, is probably evident of how far I've come and also how recently this was in my life that I can't detach and be amused of it the way I would if it was kid art. But. That's really cool also. I'm not going to say I'm like ever going to be satisfied with myself, because I love leveling up, but I'm in a very comfortable and content place these days with how things look.

Funny enough... I think of these, the 2nd round was the best? I feel the least embarrassed looking at it. I feel like I was really going for it with the gestures and the plushitude was in a way better place than what came after. The followup eras were... far too squat, but not cute, and very stiff. I can really tell I plateau'd bad with how much new information I was processing and struggling to understand. The last round is also completely fine! It was super recent after all. In that case... I mostly just had by this point grown into a very different personal style, but was still trying to fit into its old design ideas.
