I just blasted through this comic yesterday and wanted to give it a shoutout!
Stellar Witch LIP☆S is a manga about regular high school student Hoshino Miku, who's one day recruited by her voluptuous science teacher to become her successor, the 6th witch of the night. Together with her growing cast of allies, she shows up to thwart the schemes of the bad guys of the week, who are collecting energy from humans a la Sailor Moon. There's a cute boy genius detective from her school who's trying to chase her down and unmask her, a la Saint Tail. There's a beach episode. There's a fancy dress party where Miku has a romantic evening with the boy detective. There's a part where one of the bad guys gets a crush on one of the witches and turns to the good side. One of the witches has gender as well as a crush on Miku.
This manga is just a delight, a breezy, nostalgic magical girl romp. If this manga had come out around the turn of the century, I can so easily imagine it having received a 50-episode filler-smacked anime adaption expanding on the story and characters, having silly one-off episodes, and doing things like extending the more dramatic endgame fights into multi-episode angst-filled little arcs.
Is this a groundbreaking manga? By no means. Will this manga change your life? Probably not. But I think any fan of the magical girl genre would have a good time and I wanted to give this comic a shoutout, I really enjoyed it!
