ah! thanks for this! we had been avoiding it because we were concerned about it being anti-semitic or at least glorifying ways of thinking that involve disconnection from reality. like Netflix's marketing had reached us but did not mention anything that made us interested in it, and mentioned a lot of things that made us think it was going to be a frustrating experience.
There is an episode about a town which they drug regularly to keep it 'stuck' in a particular point of time, and a character dissassociates based on experiencing that drug?
ah, well, that by itself doesn't strongly affect us if it's not done insensitively, but we appreciate the heads up
from your description, it sounds like that ep would indeed have triggered us badly when we were younger. it's a thing we came to terms with though, we even watched The Truman Show recently and enjoyed it.
