My autism finds discord very overwhelming. Every server I've ever been in is either way too busy or way too quiet, and making conversation with strangers is difficult. It sucks because I see other people having a good time on it! But at least cohost is more my speed.
It's true! One of the things I really miss from a few years ago is having the timing line up that I could just jump in a discord voice call basically whenever. If I manage to catch one now it's pretty infrequent.
i hate discord and won't touch it but i miss being able to just drop into the middle of a voice call
matrix only really has text chat, and nobody posts jitsi links in room descriptions or anything like that, and even if they did you can't see if anyone's in a jitsi call without joining it
i'd like something that could just show the people that are in a jitsi call so you could throw it in some place people chat but i don't think there's any chat program that can have a nice dynamic pinned embed of anything
