I've been spending too much on thinkpad stuff...

  1. replacement trackpads because the thinkpad i got has a pretty worn one. just a sticker though, easy $10 fix.

  2. gotta get the classic keyboard mod because FUCK the island keyboard. hate that shit, the old one is the best! gonna need to do a firmware mod and stuff first though, might be annoying.

  3. ok this is either a steal or a scam, but if it's a scam ebay will refund me anyway. but two brand new, USB 3.0 4337-15u mini dock series 3 docks with keys and chargers. the chargers alone would cost like $30, so TWO of them and the more expensive USB 3.0 docks for $30 is crazy.

That's about the right price for the dock, it's 12 year old business hardware and at the absolute bottom of the value curve.

Whether or not the chiclet style keyboard is awful is a matter of opinion, the curved bottom edges on the keys make it more comfortable than the HP and Dell designs. Try it out before you throw it away wholesale.

The display, on the other hand, is objectively awful and this is not easy to fix cheaply which is why I eventually switched to a T480s.
There is a mod board available to use newer eDP 1080p IPS panels now, but it's difficult to find the few specific panel models that work and not get sent a "compatible" one. Might have to buy a whole other laptop to gut for the screen.
