the internet's promise was to connect you to more like-minded people with more niche shared interests than ever possible before but then it went and turned into a thing where you are always seeing too much from people you don't give a shit about and never enough from the people you do give a shit about. i simply am not interested in complete strangers' unprompted opinions about anything in the entire universe and i feel like i might start trying to curate my social media to better reflect this. soon i may enter my "turning off RTs/reblogs from every account i follow" era
