if the projects at my job are going to become so aligned with the homogeneous vision of the company brand, then there could at least be things for me to do every day other than sit around hoping I don't get laid off for redundancy

I haven't put many applications out, but I'm really hoping to hear back from the last one I submitted at vrchat. even if that job ends up being full of monotonous work, it'll be better than spending every day feeling worthless because my current position expects absolutely nothing of me. I want to work on projects that are actually interesting instead of trend-chasing franchise fodder, and I'll take a slightly worse job to get that

I've got way less to complain about compared to anyone working in service industry hell. I watch videos of japanese food factory workers and get a deep sense of envious guilt, while I sit around collecting a paycheck. I need some real productivity, and working on something creatively fulfilling would be great, too. the leadership here is so unimpressive and devoid of any inspiration
