I've waxed poetically recently about how much value a game gets out of a well-considered soundtrack and, while there have been several other games this year with great OSTs (pizza tower, bayonetta origins, totk), octopath 2 embodies the concept of a good game made great by the soundtrack
square-enix should really knock it off with taking down song uploads if they're not gonna make the soundtrack legally available. kudos to the person who compiled all the character boss transition themes into one track
also each character's final boss gets an arrangement of For the Dawn that incorporates their leitmotif. the composer goes whole hog on the soundtracks to this series
