messing with RTX in rift apart and cyberpunk. this stuff is nice in static shots but nowhere near impactful enough to justify upwards of 50 fps losses. reflections are the most immediately noticeable, but good SSR implementation is still a budget-friendly illusion
this tech works the best in old games with primitive lighting, or stuff with procedural environments. jedi survivor is a grim portent of a future where it's used to skip over most of the lighting pipeline and then FSR'd into resolution soup to reach 60 fps
