I've seen like 3 cultural divination longposts on here today, go play fortnite or watch an anime

viola in bayo 3 is in this awkward position of the writers wanting a nero protégé character, but also wanting to parody nero, so the ending makes a hard swerve away from having her save the day as she probably should have and instead tries to throw as many surprises and revelations on the pile until it seems good enough
dmc 5 really cast a long shadow over that game's production, it tries way too hard to match the scale and structure. platinum got lost between playing it straight while also trying to maintain the weirdness
(people would have been much kinder to the ending if they threw out most of the bizarre contrivances and just had viola get to do nero's cool self-actualization bit)
I believe it's been almost two years since I finished omori, and I still think about it on the reg despite only having done one playthrough (though to be fair, I've watched videos of the highlight moments so many times). it's maybe just ahead of lisa for being the most interesting earthbound-like to talk about, at least from the ones I've played
