Marriage of Figaro, and I specified opera because basically every performance I've seen has gotten to me. That said, I just watched the 2006 Salzburg with Netrebko as Susanna and it's so wild. I haven't seen basically any of these directorial decisions before and they're all ones that are ~supported by the text. I highly recommend giving it a watch!! (also please let me know your reactions if you do!)
Netrebko can make ANYTHING sexy but opera really is just the horniest media and people are still out there sleeping on it like it's old boring stuff. I'll have to check this one out because I don't think I've seen her in Figaro and I've never seen her in a role that she wasn't transcendent in.
I know! Opera is such an incredible art form, more people need to appreciate it!!
